Entrepreneur and investor Gary Vaynerchuk. His hand-drawn VeeFriends designs were made into NFTs and led to a Christie’s auction, corporate partnerships, and the VeeCon event in May. They also produced more than $300 million in trading volume.
Toys depicting Gary Vee’s characters will soon be available at the nation’s largest department store chain. Later this month, Macy’s and its Toys”R”Us brand, which is relaunching across all Macy’s locations in the US, will offer plush and vinyl toys through VeeFriends.
Starting on October 17, the first batch of toys will be for sale in stores as well as online at the VeeFriends, Macy’s, and Toys”R”Us websites.

Characters created by Vaynerchuk, such as the Practical Peacock, Willful Wizard, and Patient Panda, are being made into stuffed animals and vinyl figurines that are presented at random in “blind boxes.”
As a toy collector, Vaynerchuk holds a special place in his heart for the “iconic brand,” according to VeeFriends president Andy Krainak, who spoke to Decrypt (and flipper). Vaynerchuk stated in a news statement that the agreement “means considerably more to me than anyone could possibly understand.”
When the project presented its Series 2 line earlier this year, it alluded to VeeFriends’ evolution from an NFT experiment to a popular brand. While Vaynerchuk’s own marker-based doodles served as the inspiration for the initial 10,255 Ethereum NFTs (released in 2021), the 55,000 new Series 2 NFTs on Ethereum have a more polished, cartoon-like appearance.
